Prince Muhammed ibn Fahad ibn Abdul-Aziz, the Governor of the Eastern Province, will oversee activities during the upcoming 2nd Annual Asharqia Chamber Sports Festival that is expected to be held from the 2nd thru the 19th of Ramadhaan (8/23 - 9/9/2009). 32 teams representing the biggest companies in the Eastern Region are expected to participate in the fun.
Abdur-Rahman ibn Rashid Al-Rashid, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Asharqia Chamber, praised the support of Prince Muhammad for this event by saying that "the initiatives of the Chamber have always enjoyed the support of His Royal Highness which has had a great effect on the overall success of its endeavors." Prince Muhammed has supported a number of programs and activities with the aim of strengthening the development of the local private sector in addition to establishing social programs with the same goal.
Al-Rashid added that the Chamber is eager to serve the youth of the Eastern Region thru sports activities as part of its national and social strategy. He hopes that by doing so the Chamber is participating in the various wise economic, social, and cultural endeavors of the Saudi leadership.
